Moving Thus Living by Ferdinand Gouzon.
Nothing is stable or can be grasped, all is in movement and in progress in the work of Maureen Mc Cormick. What animates her is the gesture of painting, swift and fluid, discontinuous lines marrying round shapes, circles, tremblings, escapes that punctuate energetically the space of the canvas and offer to it their lyrical breathing. Painting becomes the gesture of a thought, of a whole body merged into the landscape: a vision. The landscapes touch abstraction so much they are swept, turned, taken by the wind, that mistral whose strength forces us to the strictest humility.
